Hello
Who I am and What I Do
I am Jayson Khourshid, a mechanical engineer from a family of engineers, where my passion for engineering first began. I left home at 14 to attend a highly competitive STEM boarding school, and later moved to the United States to pursue my education. During my undergraduate studies, I was admitted into an accelerated program and began my Master’s degree as a sophomore, completing both degrees within the original timeline.
I completed three six-month co-op rotations across multiple industries, gaining hands-on experience in product development, robotics, and medical device engineering. These experiences shaped my approach—grounded in real-world constraints, cross-functional collaboration, and iterative problem-solving.
I take personal pride in my work. My engineering philosophy emphasizes simple, mechanically clever solutions to complex problems. I focus on re-framing challenges through the right questions, enabling more effective and elegant designs, and prioritize first-principles thinking and rigorous validation to ensure real-world performance.
